The Basics: They're more then just another iPhone commercial song. Gaining notoriety in early 2010, Neon Trees was a stand out during this years SWSW in Austin, TX. Their catchy, bass and synth driven tracks are reminiscent of OK GO and the first Killer's album with a touch of funk. Songs like Animal and 1983 will have you at least tapping your foot if not sining along. Worthy of downloading the entire album and not just a few singles for sure.

The plan.
Came up with a game plan for the new piece. Knobs - Anthro, Paint... I'm thinking a muddy mustard. I was thinking about keeping the top natural wood, but am leaning towards painting it all. I'm really excited about this project. It's going to give me a chance to test out the new paint sprayer! YES!

Major Goodwill score! YES!!
I was on my way to dinner last night with my boyfriend and I begged him to stop at Goodwill. Once we got there, we quickly realized the place was swamped with Halloween shoppers. I instantly felt like I should get back in the car and because there was no way I was going to find something good today with this kind of traffic at the store (That's one reason I rarely thrift on Weekends... things get picked over far too quick!) Anyway, we were there already so we went in. I darted to the back of the store where they keep the furniture and to my surprise, I scored BIG! Retro tanker desk and a cute antique dresser! YES! Check out the pics, I can't wait to work some Apartment 28 magic on them! The tanker desk has a beautiful green enamal under that ugly attempt at spray paint. It looks like it's in good condition. Can't wait.
